Production Sales Manager

Full-Time | Harford Sound LLC

Overview:

Harford Sound is entering its next phase of growth—and we’re looking for a Production Sales Manager to help expand our reach. This role is designed for someone who knows the live events space, understands how to build lasting relationships, and wants to play a key role in growing an established production company.

This is a sales role inside a working production company. The right person understands live production, communicates well with clients, and is motivated to generate new opportunities while strengthening existing relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive growth: Generate new business across concerts, touring, festivals, and live events, while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

  • Build relationships: Develop and maintain connections with promoters, venues, production managers, agencies, and event organizers.

  • Develop opportunities: Identify and pursue new clients, markets, and production opportunities.

  • Collaborate with operations: Work closely with project managers and technical leadership to ensure projects are quoted accurately and executed successfully.

  • Represent the brand: Be visible in the field on site, at shows, in meetings, and at industry events representing Harford Sound professionally.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in live event production, touring, venue production, or production rental sales

  • A strong communicator who builds trust easily with clients and partners

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently

  • Understands production workflows including audio, lighting, video, and staging

  • Has existing industry relationships or the ability and drive to build them quickly

  • Based within reasonable proximity to Bel Air, MD

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: Competitive, based on experience and existing relationships

  • Commission: Performance-based commission tied directly to revenue generated

Senior Production Technician

Full Time / Harford Sound LLC

Harford Sound is a growing, full-service live event production company seeking a senior-level production technician to support our lighting and video operations. This role is intended to strengthen our technical team, share workload across departments, and help support continued growth, particularly in video and lighting

This is a hands-on technical role within an active production environment—not a management position.

Overview:

The Senior Production Technician will play a key role in system drafting, equipment preparation, deployment, and troubleshooting across lighting and LED video systems. This position exists to reduce technical bottlenecks, improve deployment efficiency, and provide experienced technical support both in the warehouse and in the field.

What You’ll Do:

System Design & Drafting

  • Draft lighting and LED video systems for concerts, festivals, and live events

  • Develop signal flow, patching, and system layouts

  • Assist with system planning, cable management, and deployment strategy

  • Work with project managers and department heads to finalize technical packages

Video Deployment & Support

  • Deploy and troubleshoot modular LED wall systems

  • Manage signal flow, processing, and data distribution

  • Oversee prep, QC, and maintenance of video inventory

  • Support video system troubleshooting both in shop and on-site

Lighting Deployment & Support

  • Support lighting system prep, deployment, and troubleshooting

  • Assist with console setup, addressing, and system integration

  • Help maintain lighting inventory and technical readiness

Execution & Technical Support

  • Serve as a lead or senior technician on events

  • Operate independently on small to mid-scale deployments

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support during live events

  • Assist warehouse prep and QC during peak production periods

Maintenance & Technical Development

  • Assist with advanced troubleshooting and repair of lighting and video equipment

  • Help improve technical workflows, documentation, and prep processes

  • Support long-term reliability and readiness of production inventory

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a department head

  • Not a people manager

  • Not a sales or project management position

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of live event production experience

  • Strong experience with lighting systems and LED video deployment

  • Comfortable drafting systems and understanding signal flow

  • Ability to troubleshoot calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Cross-discipline familiarity with lighting and video systems

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working within an established team structure

  • In depth knowledge of Resolume, Novastar and Black Magic devices

Freelancers should have:

  • A minimum 2 years experience in the industry

  • the ability lift 60lbs unassisted

  • Reliable transportation

  • Experience working long festival hours
